About coaching

What is coaching?

Coaching is a conversation with a clear purpose and structure. It helps you pause, look at your situation from different perspectives, organise your thoughts and decide what to do next.

You don’t need to come with a ready-made solution. You can come with a question, a doubt, a difficult decision or simply a feeling that something needs to change.

Coaching doesn’t give you ready-made answers. It helps you better understand your situation, see the possibilities and find your own way of moving forward.

In coaching, I don’t provide ready-made solutions or tell you what you should do. I ask questions and help you look at your situation from different perspectives.

Mentoring and advice rely more on the knowledge and experience of the person providing support — a mentor may share their experience, while an adviser may recommend specific solutions.

In coaching, you remain the owner of your decisions.

Coaching and psychotherapy address different needs.

Psychotherapy may be the right form of support when you need to explore difficult experiences, emotions or situations that have a significant impact on your wellbeing. Coaching focuses primarily on the present and on what you want to do next.

It is important to me that you choose a form of support that is right for your situation. If coaching is not what you need, I will tell you honestly.

What is my role as a coach?

I create a space where you can pause, organise your thoughts and look at your situation from a different perspective.

I ask questions that can help you notice new possibilities, rethink the way you see a situation and better understand your needs, decisions and way of working.

You don’t always need another piece of advice. Sometimes you simply need a moment to hear your own thoughts.
